Misty forests of Munnar
Munnar hill station is nestled in the Idukki region of Kerala. The ‘Kashmir of South India’ as it is popularly known, lies at an elevation of 1600 metres above sea level and once served as a summer resort of the British Empire. Today Munnar is a popular honeymoon and travel destination, accessible by road. Munnar literally means ‘three rivers’, and it gets its name as the rivers Mudhirapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundaly join here.
