These spectacular rainforest waterfalls are not far from the small village of Dominical. The Nauyaca waterfalls are said to be the most impressive in Puntarenas province and are a great reason to venture inland from Dominical's famed coastline. What's the buzz on the beach? Some of Costa Rica's best waves, and miles of sandy shores backed by a lush rainforest. The town's development from quiet fishing village to backpacker haven, and later to a place where folks strive for a balanced ecology, is an example of how Costa Rica has evolved over the decades.
