Don't expect to meet Long John Silver on this pirate-hook islet. Treasure Island, aka Flynn Island, may look tropical with its sandy shores and set against a soothing sunset, but it's actually located in the northern part of Michigan's mitten. Hunting for Captain Flint's treasure may be futile here at Higgins Lake, but those who cast lines off these sandbars will find other riches: Perch, trout, and even toothy northern pike await anglers' baited hooks within these chilly waters.
