A tall fall in two parts
Fossá Waterfall tumbles twice over huge, terraced cliffs totaling over 400 feet high before forming a churning channel to the sea. Following the road that hugs Streymoy's eastern shore, drive north for about 45 minutes from the capital Tórshavn and the Faroe Islands' tallest cascade is impossible to miss. Indeed, you can watch it pass right under the roadway before it joins the salty strait separating Streymoy from Eysturoy—the next-largest chunk of land in this remote region of Denmark.
