White Rim Road seen from Island in the Sky in Canyonlands National Park, Utah
When you’re atop the Island in the Sky, every view is a good view. Winding around the valley and hills below this mesa at the northern portion of Canyonlands National Park, is the White Rim Road. The unpaved road cuts a winding horseshoe path full of switchbacks and steep inclines. Most of the 115-kilometre road is open to four-wheel drive vehicles, motorcycles, and bicycles, but permits are required.
