The surrounding landscape forms the 'Crescent of Embrace,' gently curving around the sacred crash site. A narrow entrance walkway opens onto an overlook above the field and hemlock grove where the plane came down. A glass panel bears the inscription, 'A common field one day, a field of honor forever.'

Inside, the exhibit intentionally excludes the hijackers and shines its focus exclusively on the passengers and crew. Their story endures because their decision to fight back is believed to have prevented the plane from reaching its intended target, making their sacrifice a legacy of heroism.
