Life here revolves around the Arabian Sea, with fishing boats setting out before dawn and returning with the day's catch.
The beach is named after the Gabit fishing community. It's an easy stop while exploring the Uttara Kannada district, especially alongside Gokarna, Karwar and the historic Mirjan Fort.
