Today's image features the Tsavo East National Park, Kenya. This park, situated in Kenya's Taita-Taveta County, covers an impressive 13,747 square kilometres. Established in April 1948, this park encompasses a semi-arid region formerly known as the Taru Desert. Along with Tsavo West National Park, it creates a sprawling conservation area of roughly 22,000 square kilometres. Renowned as a global hotspot for biodiversity, Tsavo East offers a pristine sanctuary for a wide variety of wildlife.
