Quiberon peninsula
To fully embrace summer season, today we’re at the Quiberon peninsula, located on the Côte Sauvage in Brittany, France. Here you’ll find wild coast to the west and long stretches of sandy beach to the east. With such a varied landscape, visitors to this part of France can enjoy an assortment of activities, such as water sports, hiking, sea water therapy...enough to rethink your holidays (if you hadn’t already planned to visit).
To the west of the Quiberon peninsula, the Côte Sauvage stretches for about 10 kilometres from the village of Portivy in Saint-Pierre-Quiberon to Le Château Turpault, an Anglo-medieval manor built on a rocky outcrop near the port of Quiberon city. Erosion has shaped this granite coast over the seasons, which is marked by steep cliffs, wild coves and arches carved by the waves. Constantly whipped by the winds and the sea, the Côte Sauvage is a sight to behold.
