Today we’re visiting the Cotswolds, an area in southern England covering about 2,000 square kilometres of beautiful views, limestone hills, charming villages and pleasant walks. Loved by visitors and residents alike, this rural landscape takes on a new character in winter when snow blankets the unspoiled countryside.

The Cotswolds is the largest Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in England and Wales. There’s plenty to explore on foot, with over 5,000 kilometres of footpaths weaving through rolling pastures, historic battle sites and pretty villages made of honey-coloured stone. Some visitors take several days to hike all 164 kilometres of the Cotswold Way, a trail that runs between the small town of Chipping Campden in the north and the city of Bath – a World Heritage site named after its Roman-built baths – in the south.
