Seaside views. Time for a road trip?
Sydney Harbour Bridge might soak up most of New South Wales’ limelight, but journey north towards the Illawarra region and you’ll stumble upon another gem - the Sea Cliff Bridge. Opened in December 2005, the Sea Cliff Bridge stretches out for a mere 665 metres, however it’s the 140 kilometres of stunning coastal scenery it takes in - including the Royal National Park - that makes it a popular hot spot for snap-happy tourists. The bridge itself cost around $49 million to build, and was commissioned because the road that originally curved alongside the nearby cliff face was deemed unsafe to drive on. This was especially problematic when rockfall activity would occasionally close the road months at a time. Fancy a drive?
